Le long des deux côtés s'alignent une série de 24 sculptures en pierre représentent 12 paires d'animaux : lions, xieshi (chimères), chameaux, éléphants, kylins (licornes), chevaux. Chaque espèce a quatre représentants, deux debout et deux au repos. Ici, le lion.
