Le long des deux côtés s'alignent une série de 24 sculptures en pierre représentent 12 paires d'animaux : lions, xieshi (chimères), chameaux, éléphants, kylins (licornes), chevaux. Chaque espèce a quatre représentants, deux debout et deux au repos. Chameaux debouts.

Nanjing, China. Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum. Stone Elephant Road. The road is lined with 12 pairs of 6 animals: lions, xiezhi (chimera), camels, elephants, quilin (unicorns) and horses. Every kind of animal has a pair standing and a pair seated. Camels standing.
